Back Online!

It's been a week or so since I have been able to post anything. had some technology issues.
laptop was sorta taken away from me but then it was kinda left here so I guess it is mine again....

in any case I ended up doing a fresh install of Ubuntu 7.04 and directly upgraded to 7.10 with of course and immediate upgrade to Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron. install went great, everything was recognised and subsequent upgrades also had no issues.

The only hardware that was not installed was wifi but that is a known issue with
Atheros Communications Inc. AR242x 802.11abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01)
